Getting started with my blog

I started some blogs a few years ago but didn't keep up with them. I caught myself poring through other people's writings and thought it might be interesting to put up a blog where I can post pics of my family with the intent of telling a story, rather than uploading random photos to my Facebook albums. I'm just getting the feel of Blogger and am watching some Youtube videos to help me get up to speed. As the days go by, I anticipate uploading quite a bit of content to my page.
